| Sage BusinessVision 7.2 is now released! |
|
By now you have likely received notifications from Sage about the
release of BusinessVision 7.2. This latest release includes an
extensive list of customer-focused enhancements designed to deliver
a better, more intuitive experience, along with many new performance
improvements and features in several modules.

Highlights:
- Improved Inventory Management
- Buy, stock and sell in multiple units of measure
- Maintain non-physical inventory
- Track multiple UPC codes per product
- Restrict fractional quantities
- Order Entry Enhancements
- New required date field
- Improved access to date fields
- Edit or add a ship to address of a customer from order entry
- Assign a new order number when converting from a Quote
- General Ledger Enhancements
- Maintain up to 99 years of history
- Import transactions from outside sources
- Fixed asset management integration with Sage FAS 50 Asset Accounting
- New Customization Options:
- Personalize the BusinessVision desktop
- Optional auto-complete functionality by user

IMPORTANT – this release may affect your custom forms and reports.
The modifications in most cases will be minor and can likely be
performed by a computer-savvy individual as documented HERE. This may
not always be the case – please check with your Business Partner prior
to upgrading.

| BV Version 7.2 and RW&A Add-On Products |
All RW&A applications must be upgraded for the release of BusinessVision
7.2. There have been significant modifications to the databases – in
particular in inventory – that necessitate an update to all of the RW&A
applications. If you rely on using one of the following applications or
have any custom software that links to BusinessVision, you must contact
your Business Partner before you upgrade for a review of the requirements.
This upgrade applies to all standard RW&A software products:
- BVLabels
- BVImport Utility
- PurchasePro
- InBridge
- OE+
- ShipIt! for UPS and Fedex
- BVLink for ACT! by Sage
Upgrades for all standard RW&A software will be released on or before June 30, 2008.
